same here. a 69 cent battery is a throw away compared to the fear of
powering up some audio channel that is off at the transmitter. i turn them
on, tell them that if they touch anything we have a 300 greek gorilla
outside that takes care of the finger that switched the switch. i say it
like this, "by the way, which of your fingers would you like to use if you
were going to turn or adjust any of the settings that i've spent hours
getting right?" they hold one or more up and i say, "ok, i'll make a note
of that because that's the one the 300# greek gorilla will modify for you if
you touch anything, and that's ANYTHING!"
