I'm trying to mount a QTV FDP-12 in front of an ENG style camera (Sony
DCX-D50) in a studio configuration. Because there is not enough
clearance between the part of the rear focus control that screws into
the lens and the sled that the tele-propmter and camera sit on, I
cannot attach the flex cable to the focus control.

There are pictures on the web of other brands of prompters that use a
riser to lift the camera from the tripod head, but no such thing is
included with the QTV. They may sell a riser separately, but their
support people will not return emails or phone calls, so I can't ask
them.

Has anyone else run into this situation and have a solution?
