In the good old days of analog tapes were typically rated with the
average number of dropouts/minute. I haven't seen that in DV or
DVCAM - we don't have literature to start with but they also only
seem to compare to each other, for instance "DVCAM has 50% less
dropout than consumer DV" or something like that.
I'm going to check with the manufacturers and see if they actually
reveal any of the typical dropout counts.
