According to some recent news, much of the music that people play on
their MP3 players is ripped from existing CD's. Besides that, there
are numerous peer-share networks where you pay nothing; there had been
(about 4 years ago) a lot of music available on FTP, and ofcourse
there's supposed to be (haven't seen the need to try it) alt.binaries.

I've never heard of mp3spy.
