WOW was OK but the color of the '53 version was
extraordinary. I made a DVD from the vhs of it.
Spielberg used stuff from the 53 version in the old
house sequence in Close Encounters, then did it
again in WOW. Even Gene Barry's clothes and
glasses were fascinating in 1953. He is one of my
favorites C movie actors of all time. He could have
been in A productions if hadn't been such a sucker
for kitsch. How about that cornball squaredance in
the '53, immaculate?
