Interesting since it appears to be for public distribution. I got the
same info from Panasonic but it didn't actually mention the measurement
unit. It said 50 or 100 but didn't give the reference of dropouts per
minute.
I guess I was wrong about that and I am amazed, especially since Hi 8
tape had a a much lower dropout count. I guess the error correction
really is good because I'll stand by my earlier statement that compared
to analog tapes in regard to dropout, it's crap. Fortunately, crap
appears to be good enough.
