That's the reason. NF has a load balancing problem, which was
exacerbated when WalMart dumped its subcribers on NF.

We need to go streaming.

The typical cable Internet connection is 1-5 Mbits per second. A
42-min. AVI can be compressed to 350 MB with XviD and retain
acceptable resolution for smaller TV sets. That's a stream rate of
around 1 Mbit/sec, if I did the arithmetic correctly, which is within
our current technology.

Pay the ISP $1 per each DVD equivalent download, which is what it
costs for NF typically. The ISP would make money and you would have
what you want immediately.
