According to the listings on Lyngsat.com the "ABC News Now" transponder
on IA-6 at 93w is a FREE channel available for viewing but I have always
had a problem with jittery video. There are always some momentary freezes
and artifacting and just plain jittery video. The audio is always fine.
The signal strength and quality is good and I double-checked all the
various settings. The only discrepancy I found was in the transponder's
frequency. Lyngsat lists it as 12042 Mhz and my receiver showed it as
12043 Mhz. I tried both settings with no discernable difference.
I don't have any similar problems on any other channels. Am I the only
one with this problem ???
Also does anyone know of any other 24-hour news channels available to us
Ku band FTA users ???
Thanks,
PON
