I didn't say not to trust the lawyer.
You gave him an outline of your show. I hope that he told you
specifically how he is "connected" with the industry. And I would hope
that you have him verify his claims before you go any further.
That is what I should have said in the first place.
Instead of the legal advice you initially sought, you are now looking
at a partnership between your idea and his apparent connections. If
you go the partnership route I would certainly encourage you spend
some real money on yourself and hire a lawyer who specializes in
business and partnership contracts before you sign anything.
Do your research on what the various media buys are for the "network"
you hope to place your show with.
