Same as you :-) But that's not what I meant. I mean content-wise Hollywood
is sliding down the long slide, and pretty fast. Audiences around the world
are getting bored by the formulaic approach Hollywood takes, and are
looking for fresh content. Look at the tremendous growing interest in Asian
cinema recently. I was at the HK Filmart earlier this year, spoke with a
few people there, and they were all happy with their growth abroad. They
see the market change, and take advantage of that. Of course, same thing
applies there soon as well, studios will start ruling content, and the
directors/producers/writers are afraid that the formulaic approach might
happen in Asia as well. But for now they enjoy the freedom they can take in
telling a story. And that freedom does not go with a "f*ck" every two
sentences.
By the way, Hollywood sees that interest as well, and is currently redoing
Asian movies.
