Ok, I just got done talking to Customer Service at Netflix.

Netflix policy gives higher priority to customers who receive fewer
discs per month for the same cost. That's why you have "Now" and I
have had "Very Long Wait" for two months since the release and "Long
Wait" for the past week or so.

I get up to 9 discs per weekly cycle, which works out to about 7 discs
on average when you factor in holidays and deliberate slow shipments.
That's about 30 discs per month which is high compared to most people
who pay for 3 discs per shipment.

Over the many years of being a consumer, I have witnessed many
companies go out of business, even those which at one time experienced
great success. In many instances the reason they went out of business
is they let success go to their head and became greedy. They got
arrogant because they momentarily cornered the market but when
circumstances changed, as they always do in the capitalist system,
they got whacked.

Of course, shareholder value was significantly enhanced during the
period of shafting customers and you can bet that management reaped
the rewards of that increased value before the company went under.
