Sure, but he was talking about a Series 1 Tivo, so I was trying to take the
easier path. He'd have to move things physically back onto the Tivo to play
them on his TV, AFAIK. I think as far as mpegs go, that might even be true
for Series 2 Tivos, I forget. Now, if he had an HTPC or some kind of media
server that could just stream video off the network, then a NAS or file
server makes sense. Beyond that, it depends what he wants to do - if it's
mostly watch once and delete, then I'd put a bigger drive in the Tivo.
