Ahhhhh Apologies to both then! 
 
I should explain over here in the UK at the time you could be these 
tiny rockets in packs of 5? 8? My memory is dim ;-) The body was about 
3-4 inches long. 
 
I lived in a quite rural area so we found an old shed with a corrugated 
tin roof - the corrugations served as a handy launch pad as well. 
 
I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the time the glider made 
it intact to the end of the roof. Still, science should be fun, 
failures and all ;-)
