I saw your long thread about this unit,
I would suspect DVD-RW would test out poor readability earlier than
factory pressed DVDs as reflectivity is likely to be less with DVD-RW?
I have never used DVD-RWs.
It would be good to have some sort of standardised DVD that tests the
set top units threshold performance to help determine if the problem is
media related or player related.
Out of interest what brand of DVD-RW do you use?
I appreciate your input.
I'll persist with JVC customer support if the unit doesn't perform post
repair.
