With firewire, timecode is not sent across, just the embedded time-of-day
data. You will need a card like the Blackmagic-cards with or a separate
RS422-to-serial deckcontroladapter, and read the time-code via that. Not
sure if Vegas has that feature incorporated. If your material has no
time-code breaks or resets, you're probably better off by setting the
proper timecode in Vegas.
