Because the fabric of life is SO thin..? ;-)

This is just about as bad as alt.satellite.tv...

I guess in the couple of years that I've not been on the usenets
folks have become proud of being rude, vulgar, morons...how
very ironic considering the origins of the "internet" (that was
previously Darpa Net) that was centered around college and
govt agencies engaged in the pursuit of science, and the net
was invented as a way for smart, polite people to ask, learn, and share...

From what I now see the internet has degraded into a cesspool
of whining egos and is now the keyboard equivilant of the CB radio...

The good news is: there is a Mensa group where folks converse in
an entirely different fashion...
