As of a couple of years ago Panasonic shipped blank DVD-RAM disks with
each of their recorders. The back side of those blanks was white. I
bought some Panasonic RAM blanks on sale at Circuit City about the time I
got the recorder and those blanks were gold color on the back side.
None of the white disks has ever given me write errors, but all of the
gold blanks have. The write errors come back as read errors when I try
to transfer the disk contents to a computer for editing.

I wonder if other people have had trouble with write errors on DVD-RAM
media and if not what brand of blanks you use.
