Had a power blip while I was away & my wife didn't restart my
systems. The machine is on again, but WinMx seems a bit slow
this weekend.

I agree, those chat channels are handy for reconnecting, but I
have too much on the go to chat to anybody. They make about
as much sense to me as being tied to an old corded phone while
having a conversation! These newsgroups work much better as
they don't require real-time attention.

If you don't get an immediate message back in WinMx, just go
ahead and help yourself to the files. The machine sits in a corner
and seldom has the screen on.
