Follow up

JVC DR-MV1S collected from service centre. "Replaced the Drive unit
assembly, checked and tested". It will now play the two prerecorded DVD
it wouldn't before. But now it won't play 3 recorded Dual layer DVD+R
that were playable before the service. Get "Disc Error".I will check
the remainder of my DVD collection. Go figure. It is the weekend at the
moment but I will phone the service centre on Monday with my problem.
The 3 DL DVD+R play alright in my other DVD players. Can I expect the
JVC player to play to a poorer standard because it is a writer as well?

I might just have to take these DVDs down to the retailer and see if
they play on the shop DR-MV1S. Sound as though I have a dud machine.
