Reply to Video Essentials DVD - NTSC, but is it worthwhile to calibrate a HDTV?

Wondering - since the Video Essentials DVD is for NTSC - is it still of
value to calibrate an entirely different signal and format like HDTV?
I'm looking to properly calibrate a Sony XBR Bravia 40" LCD. Thanks in
advance.......
