Definitely won't work these days.
All a Sky Cap can do now, beside check in your two allowed bags, is
take you and your gear from the curb to the counter. Can't even hardly
put the stuff on the belt.
Now that the claim checks are computer generated with bar codes, the
counter agent has control of most all of the excess baggage claim
checks. Gone are the stacks of pre-made baggage tickets with the
elastic bands.
Yeah, I miss the good old days too.
Fifty bucks would get five to seven extra cases on board..... anytime.
AND the weight restrictions were 70 lbs, too.
