Well, that's a good point. It could be that Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush,
Feith, et al, actually did know that it would be very difficult, and
that, by August 2006, 3000 people a month would be dying in Iraq as a
result of "liberation". In that case, they wisely chose not to tell
America because otherwise support for the war might have been lukewarm
at best.
