Two years ago, when I switched from ADSL to cable, my secondary
connection was getting dropped at a frustrating rate. On a whim, I
tried the Australia & NZ option and found my connection times to be
more stable. Even after the patches this is still more stable than
the North America option. Occasionally I set it back to North
America just to compare and find the connection is still less stable.
Asian character usernames seem to be more common in the queue
while set to Autralia & NZ.
This has been working well for me although I have no explanation.
My location is in Canada.
