Thank you guys for your replies.

I've been googling around and I've noticed some other people have also
had the same problem with the 11kHz sampling rate (NRen2kf, I also hit
upon your post where you mention testing the Zen Micro, in the
hydrogenaudio forums).

So, my next question is... what would be the best thing to do? I
suppose I need to resample/reencode my files, but since I haven't had
to do it before, and I don't have the time or energy to test and play
around with lots of software, maybe someone can give me some
suggestions as to what (preferably free) software to use, and what
conversion options would provide decent quality (since these files
contain speech, they're not exactly hi-fi in the first place) without
too much of a size increase?
