Firstly - you may want to consider getting a new burner. Sony's are
notoriously bad.
Is the disk new? Is it by Sony? Could have the newer protection on it.
You can get the new version of AnyDVD off Bittorrent(its pay otherwise). Run
this is the background and try again with Nero.

And rip the disk with that to the hard drive.
