I have the disc identifier program at home somewhere, but not here at
work. However, we burned one of the attempts on a Sony disc, and that
was one of the worst ones.
I am strongly favoring my too fast a bitrate theory, thinking that if
you let Encore do its thing on Automatic, it will use a VRB that goes
all the way up to 8, taxing the players lasers and decoders in some
way. I have just finished re-encoding the whole thing at a more
reasonable 4 mbit/sec rate, and am testing it on various players now.
(burned at 4X as well).
