Check this and see if any of the configurations match your equipment

| Hi there and thanks for reading... Hope you can help... Heres the story...
|
| The problem I've been having is trying to figure out what switches and the
| combinations of switches are needed for a single FTA reciever to be attached
| to more than four lnb's?
|
| Equipment: Pansat 3500SD (IRD), five Circular Dual out LNBF's, one Linear
| Dual out LNBF, two 4x1 Diseqc switches, one 22Khz Switch, one 30"c dish, two
| 30"e dishes, two 18"c dishes, two 9deg lnb braces.
|
| Normal Setup: IRD to 4x1 Diseqc switch to 4 'circular polerized' lnb's on 4
| dishes (18"c/18"c/30"e/30"e).
|
| Heres the testing I did:
|
| "MAKE SURE IT ALL WORKS FIRST"
| 1) Tested both of the two 4x1 Diseqc switches for normal operation.
| Attached each to the reciever, and then to four lnbs. Both worked fine and
| recieved all four satellites.
| 2) Tested the one 22Khz switch for normal operation. Attached to the
| reciever, and then to two lnbs. Worked fine for the Echo satellights. Didn't
| test it for the Nimiq.
|
| Ok, had to state that, so its known that the equipment is ok.
|
| "LETS MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING"
| 1) Tested the 22Khz to control the two 4x1 Diseqc's. Attached the 22Khz to
| the reciever, and put each side to a 4x1 diseqc swich. Did not work well,
| the diseqc connected to one side of 22Khz switch failed to have signal.
| 2) Tested the 4x1 Diseqc to control one 22Khz switch. Attached the Diseqc
| to the reciever, put 2 lnbs on the diseqc and the 22Khz switch with 2 lnbs
| on it. Did not work well, half the diseqc's lnb's failed to get signal, and
| half the 22Khz failed to get signal.
|
| My main questions still stand... What is it I need to get my reciever to
| use more than 4 lnbs?
