Firstly, *I am referring specifically to the United Kingdom*
The industry (BPI, or whatever) would have us believe that if we share
files with others we will certainly be caught sooner or later and face a
large fine.
Some users of WinMx would have us believe there is virtually no chance of
ever being caught, and we should share all our files regardless.
So, what's the real truth? Somewhere between the two extreme views, I
suppose.
Also, are only the uploaders targeted by the industry, or are downloaders
who don't share also a target? (Yes, I know leeches are unpopular(!), and
if no-one shares then there is no network)
