Reply to HD/Blu-ray player or just get an XBox 360 or PS3?

I will be getting anext gen player but am wondering if it's worth getting a
stand-alone or something that will do games too. Anyone know the sort of
price-point that HDDVD and Blu-ray are coming in at? Anyone got a next gen
player yet?
