I don't know, but, just out of curiosity, how long have you owned it?

I remember hearing that, as cool as these units are for playing all
regions and DivX CD-Rs and all, that they tend to break down -- either
after a year or a year and a half.

I read where someone described the process for soldering something to
fix it yourself, but I'd rather spend $50 to buy a new one than try to
figure that out.
