I didn't do my homework before I bought the camera.

That said, now I have a DVD with a VOB file on it (an MPG as we all
know). Plays back fine in Windows Movie Maker, but not in anything on my
Mac.

All I want to do is get it into some sort of editor to save the parts I
want, and eventually transfer it all to a regular full size DVD.

I'm having a heck of a time finding anything that will convert the VOB
to an AVI.

I've downlaoded and spent too much on many peices of software - that
don't do the job.

Any suggestions? (Besides getting a DV with USB out...)
