I have no idea where you are coming from there.
Maybe you need a nap? I have nothing but respect
for the guys (and gals) on r.a.m.p.s I have spent
hours myself holding a mic boom and sore muscles
to show for it. They've gotta be in excelent shape
to do what they do every day. But I still say that
likely many of them have never seen a mic boom
dolly outside a museum either.

In fact there are recent discussions on r.a.m.p.s that
even manual booming is becoming an endangerd art
as producers just ask for everybody to have a wireless
body mic so they don't have to worry about long/wide
shots, or boom shadows, etc. etc. etc.

Or maybe you are from some other part of the world
where those boom dollies are still in use?
