These days, most people are using LAME VBR MP3s, which sound nearly
identical to the CD source at the standard quality. If you're really
worried about it (say, with a truly killer recording), there are even
higher quality settings available. It can't ever be exactly the same
as the CD, but for the reduction in size, it's damn close.
