Good point, and one that is important for me.
I understand that lots of movies have aspect ratios that produce
pictures that are "narrower" than 16:9. However...
Ideally, I would prefer a WS-monitor/TV that could stretch the picture
vertically to eliminate the black border. Can the new generation of
wide-screens do this?
There have been quite a few weird aspect-ratios that movies have used,
and since the stretch distortion would be pretty minimal at 16:9 AND
since I'm a guy that likes using what I pay for - that's what I would want.
