Please don't top-post. It's annoying.

Back on topic:
You can't sell / give away your CDs and keep MP3 copies. That is a
violation of the copyrights. It would be just like if you got the MP3s
off of the internet without owning the CD. Once you pass a CD on to
somebody, you are supposed to delete any copies you have made.

If I was going to pack away my CDs someplace, then I would first make
FLAC backups and keep those handy.
