Possible. But probably you'll find out that the Hard Disk has been
formatted in a way that WinXP can read. It's easier to reuse an
existing library rather than writing your own from scratch.

We are talking about removable Hard Disks. No need to install anything,
the driver of the caddy takes care of everything. Same as for a
USB/FireWire external disk or a USB key.
