I've heard that some cd writer's can be nasty when they feel like it. The
thing to do is to take charge. Glare at it menacingly and say "Look, cd
writer, you'd better let me burn file to you, or else". That should do the
trick.

Those Nero people need their arses kicked. I once wrote to them, asking why
their CD writers didn't work with blank DVD's, and they simply ignored me.
It's just not fair, damn their eyes.

Sure thing. I can't see any problems with that. Some folks might say it's
the height of lunacy trying to burn DVD's using a CD writer (and actually
asking questions about said practice on a public forum), but I reckon
they're just bitter.
