Well, we live next door to a number of fields -although I haven't noticed
any "farming-action" in the last week or so. I'll keep it in mind though,
thanks Nige.

I'm thinking now that it's down to the following, though:
I leave windows open due to the 'dryness' in the air inside.... but we live
in a valley, overlooking a river and we get a lot of mist/fog at night,
which might not be the healthiest air to be breathing in... so, I've shut
the windows and put a dish of water under the bed in (what seems to be) the
worst-affected room.

Worth a bash at least I think.

....Oh, and Colin, thanks for your suggestion of uk.d-i-y ...I used to think
smarmy, sarcastic, irrelevant superiority complexes were the exclusive
domain of computer techies, but it seems they have them in other fields as
well. ;)
