All you have to do is plug it into the network, assuming that you have a
router, and it will work.

It is supper easy on a Mac.

1) Go over to your Applications Folder
2) Click on System Preferences
3) Click on Network
4) Double click on Built-in Ethernet
5) Click on TCP/IP.

This shows the IP Address of the computer and other things like where it
got that IP from. Most likely the router's DHCP.

Once you know your computer is on your local network you can 'shoot'
files over to your server that you set up.. I'm assuming that you've
already set up a server.
