I am looking for an application that will batch edit my track tags ONLY
.. . . or at least give me the option. For the most part, my tags are
perfect and can be left alone. However, I have several track tags that
are in the xx/xx format. Others are in the standard xx format. I want
to have everything consistent.

I normally use Tag & Rename. I think this application will do what I
want if I use the "write tags from file name" feature. The only problem
I face with this option is that it would overwrite existing tags. This
would not be a problem if it were not for several of my song titles
containing characters that can be used in tags, but cannot be used in
filenames (such as quotation marks, slashes, and question marks). Since
those characters are not present in the file name, they would not be
written to the tag.

Is there a workaround that I am overlooking?
