Because I don't want to pay for something I don't want. I'm quite
happy with the freely offered channels available. After all I shop at
Netto but don't have ASDA sending round someone demanding I pay them
for the privilege.

I suspect any broadcasting organisation getting a subsidy of 3 billion
pounds a year gouged out of the taxpayer could put on a better show
than the bbc anyway.
