Thought I'd pass on this temporary deal. 50 Staples (big box) DVD-R 16x for
$13.

I tested one on my Benq 1640 using Nero CD/DVD Speed.

It wrote the test disk in 6:16, taking it on up to 16x.

Then the quality (read) test scored 91 of 100.

Benq's own Qscan didn't think the blank disk was good to go above 8x at the
very end of the disk. But in practice the writer accepted it, though it was
stopping to check often in case the laser power needed adjusting.

They are CMC MAG AM3, the same as a batch of HP's I got.

The text on the faces is pretty transparent. No abominable brand info. that
you can't mark over.

Of course, not all DVD machines may love them. But I think you can take them
back without a problem.
