Interesting. I was in Circuit City yesterday, and sure enough you are
right. Some units have that obscene logo.
Also interesting, it appeared that none of the salesmen had ever noticed
it and none knew what it meant. Since there were no manuals out on the
display units and I wasn't trying to buy one, I still don't know.
Some casual googling isn't finding much either.
I am sure that the RIAA would love to have all gear check that you have
entered your credit card number before any stage of your audio/video setup
lets anything through. This may be the first primitive step but who knows?
More info needed before I replace my units - which is a long time from
now, fortunately, since they are fairly new.
