Well actually what a lot of people don't know is just because
something is digital that doesn't mean there is no signal loss. Even a
short fiber optic cable of 6 inches (15.24 cm) can have horrible
signal loss straight out of the factory. I've seen some for sale for
home theater with 30% signal loss and the difference in the sound is
quite different. There is no silences but you can loose a lot when
working with high frequency signals. However the prices of extremely
high quality cord, especially long ones, is insanely priced… but that
is due to it mean for businesses with deep pockets, not for consumers
who actually think about prices. Those consumers that have the kind of
money to put cords like these in their home generally are the ones
that know about business and not about what they need in there home
theater system. At least in America. :)~
