I've recently bought a DMREX85, and while I loved it (especially the
Freeview tuner) I was baffled by it recording subtitles, even when
subtitles were switched off.

After sending it back a couple of times (with no effect) the dealer
reluctantly gave me a replacement DMREX85, which generally doesn't record
unwanted subtitles - but it DOES record them sometimes!

For example, a list of 8 programmes were all clear of subtitles - except
for one (BBC4) which had them. Nothing had been changed before or after,
and all the other programmes were clear...

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Is this a unique-to-me problem,
or has anyone else experienced it?
