+/-Rs did not cause as much trouble as +RWs.

How?

Anyway, I just retired the ILO. It has become progressively worse each
day. Cyberhome, the manufacturer, is either out of business or going
out of business. WalMart has dropped the product, although I see Best
Buy is offering it for reduced price.

I can't complain - I got a year's service for $99. I know people who
bought big brand name units for 4 times that amount and their unit
spent more time in the repair shop than playing DVDs at their home.
And then it craps out when the warranty expires so they have to throw
it away after 1 year.

There's only one way to go - a PVR that you build yourself. I will
wait another year because some of the critical parts for a reliable
PVR have not been completely developed.

Govt is an insult to human dignity. With or without govt,
you would have good people doing good things and evil
people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil
things, that takes govt. Govt is the root of all evil.
