Few DVDs I rent from a local video store cannot be read by the DVD-ROM (PC,
Windows 2000)
According to the store owner these are playable on a standalone DVD player.

I am using this DVD ROM -> Hitachi HL-DT-ST GDR8162B.

Is there any other DVD ROM that can read all DVD formats or do I have to
purchase a standalone DVD player just for watching certain DVDs ?
