So? The system I suggest includes Final Cut Studio.

So that's $1300 + $500 = $1800 Vs $500-700 + $500-700 = $1000-$1400.
That's $400-800 more.
You're still not coming up with a viable alternative.

It shows that you're not willing to put your money where your mouth is.
If, in fact, you can put that system together for less than $5K (and it
shouldn't take you more than a few minutes to work out the figures since
I came up with my figures in a few minutes using easily available web
sites) then show the numbers and I'm sure people will beat a path to
your door to order them. I'm sure that the guy that asked the original
question would be only too happy to order from you.

Falling back on the "I'm only going to quote a number if you're REALLY
going to buy one" is an old retail (and, in particular, a car
dealership) trick to avoid giving a price.
