I've known people who've had success connecting an FTA receiver to a
DirecTV dish - but never while DirecTV receiver were also connected
into the same switch. From what I've read both DVB and DirecTV use the
same LNB voltages and 22khz tone so I believe I'll be ok.

Again, I just want this as a test of the receiver before I setup the
dedicated FTA dish.
