Firstly, if you're authoring DV material to DVD, you're advised to use
the DV AVI format in Movie Maker, instead of the WMV format. (Using the
WMV format will needlessly degrade the quality of the video.)

Secondly, nearly all consumer-oriented DVD authoring applications have a
built-in MPEG-2 encoder and should accept your DV AVI files directly.
